A formulated sequence of yoga postures that connects breath with movement transition. The class includes a steady flow of alignment-based poses with breath awareness. Poses are sometimes broken down and variations offered for all levels of ability and experience.
Meditation & Mindfullness
Explore ancient techniques in a contemporary way, helping you live and work with greater resilience, inspiration and creativity. Meditation is an inner technology that helps you deal with the increased demands of outer technologies and the modern world. You'll experience a variety of meditation and mindfulness techniques enabling you to design your own unique meditation practice. Class content includes meditation, guided visualisations, breathing and reflections which you'll be shown how to integrate into your daily life.
Our Hatha Yoga classes include both seated and standing postures, sometimes classical and at other times exploratory. These classes are rooted in the traditions of Hatha Yoga whilst at the same time embracing and exploring modern approaches to yoga and intelligent movement. There will usually be a strong emphasis on mindful awareness of the breath and the body, and the style and structure of each class will vary.
This yoga practice is a great way of finding some quiet time, exploring the inner body and cultivating qualities of attention. You will hold poses for minutes whilst you focus on your breathing and your inner world, encouraging a deeper awareness of your physicality, incorporating breathing exercises and meditation techniques. You will explore and enhance your ability to move without causing pain or injury. This class is ideal if you have recurring pains or injuries that you want to understand and take control of, if you want to release tension or tight muscles or if you want to restore a sense of wellness through mindfulness in motion.
